A SLIGHTLY smaller yarding at Ouyen this week saw 13,695 sheep – 4420 lambs and 9275 mutton – with the older sheep the darlings of the market.
Ouyen Livestock Exchange manager Colin Mole said while trade lambs were firm to $5 dearer, with lighter store lambs back $10, mutton kept its gain from the previous sale and then pushed ahead.
