WATERNSW has issued a red alert for blue-green algae for Lake Menindee outlet and the Great Darling Anabranch.

Various other Menindee Lakes and lower Darling–Baaka sites are under amber/green alerts, with some sites experiencing reduced, but above ecological thresholds, dissolved oxygen levels.
