Family violence driving rise in crime

MILDURA'S crime rate has risen for the fourth successive year since the lows of COVID-19, driven by a continued surge in family violence incidents.

Total criminal incidents rose 7.2 per cent in 2024 to an average of about 18 incidents each day with about one third of those relating to family incidents.
