A WORLD War I medal that had wound up in a local antique shop has been returned to the soldier's descendant, after some sleuthing by the Mildura & District Historical Society.

Mark Irwin bought the 1914-15 Star from a shop, only to discover it belonged to Private Frank E. C. Dennett from the 8th Battalion AIF.
