A BLOWN transformer at a Lower Murray Water sewage farm was the cause of a power outage that impacted 3300 Powercor customers across Merbein and Mildura on Tuesday.

The fault occurred at about 3.15pm, and the vast majority of Powercor customers had their power restored by 6pm that evening.
