FUTURE and emerging leaders at Mildura West Primary School were awarded badges at a special ceremony on Friday.

Mildura Mayor Cr Helen Healy was invited along to speak and meet with the student representatives, which she said was quite the honour.

"Coming to events like this is such a wonderful part of being mayor, or even a councillor because we see this next generation of leaders," she said.
