AN investigation has been launched after a QantasLink aircraft was damaged when it crashed into runway lights during take off from Mildura last month.

The Australian Safety Transport Bureau probe follows an early morning flight to Melbourne on February 25 when a a Bombardier aircraft was inadvertently lined up with the edge lights for the main runway rather than the runway centreline.
