A MAN was knocked unconscious on Friday night after being allegedly assaulted by two men outside a popular bar in Mildura's CBD.

Emergency services were called to the corner of Eighth Street and Langtree Avenue around 11pm following reports of an injured man.

A bystander who witnessed the incident said the victim was allegedly punched in the head while his back was turned.
