MORE than 80 firefighters battled a 750-hectare blaze in Ouyen on Sunday after lightning strikes ignited two separate fires.

Emergency services were called to the Calder Highway just after 4:20pm, where unpredictable conditions made it challenging for emergency services to contain the blaze.
