THE Australian Transport Safety Bureau has ticked off the response by crew in a Melbourne to Mildura Rex flight that made an emergency landing at Mildura Airport last month.

Fumes were detected in the flight deck and forward cabin of the 34-seater Saab 340 aircraft, with pilots making an emergency landing about 4.40pm on January 10.
