THE pilot of a Mildura-bound flight from Queensland was forced to land on a highway after an engine caught on fire last week.

The Australian Transport Safety Bureau is investigating the incident which happened on Friday, January 24 about 28 kilometres east of Nyngan, New South Wales, located between Bourke and Dubbo.
