POLICE from New South Wales and Victoria have been involved in the search for a man missing the Murray River near Mildura since late this afternoon.

The 54-year-old man went missing from what’s believed to be the beach area of Apex Park after going for a swim.

The search and rescue effort involved a Victoria Police helicopter as well as land and water units.
