AN initiative to create a safe walking culture has taken its first steps in Mildura.

Born from the 2024 Northern Mallee Leaders program, the debut SafeWalk Sunraysia event was held on Wednesday last week with the aim of creating a space where people could walk along the riverfront without fear of feeling unsafe or uneasy.
