A WOMAN who drugged her violent husband and put his body in a freezer at Walpeup in 2020 has failed in a bid to overturn her conviction for murder.

However, three Court of Appeal judges have ruled that Rebecca Payne's 16-year sentence with a non-parole period of 10 years was "manifestly excessive" and reduced the amount of time that she must remain in prison.
