A COUPLE feared they would one day be killed by their grandson who "comprehensively" blew an opportunity to remain out of custody on bail, a court has heard.

The Mildura Magistrates' Court was this week told the man had been released on bail on Monday last week following an alleged altercation with his sister at a family barbecue.
