A CHRISTMAS tree has taken pride of place in Mildura's Kmart store, marking the 36th Wishing Tree Appeal in Sunraysia.

In collaboration with The Salvation Army, the fundraiser is aimed toward helping families and people in need through in-store gift donations, and monetary contributions.
