MILDURA'S fire response times are among the best in the state.

A new study by Fire Recruitment Australia has shown Mildura's response to emergency situations to be the fifth quickest of 39 regions in Victoria and well under the state average.

According to the study, Ballarat City takes the top spot as the fastest-responding region in Victoria, clocking an average response time of 5.7 minutes.
