THE nine successful candidates from the Mildura Rural City Council election have been determined.

Adapting to a newly introduced ward system, electors cast a total of 21,946 valid votes across seven contested elections.

Two wards, Karadoc Ward and Sunset Country Ward only had one candidate put forward a nomination, and the candidates were elected without the need for a public vote.
