SAVING lives might be part of their jobs, but local emergency-service workers have gone above and beyond the call of duty in a national blood drive.

More than 60 donations were made by Sunraysia police, ambulance, fire, lifesaving and SES members during the winter Emergency Services Blood Drive through Australian Red Cross Lifeblood, saving up to 189 lives.
