AUSTRALIANS are being urged to 'Check Your Tech' ahead of the 3G network closure next week.

From Monday, Telstra and Optus will switch off their 3G networks, after TPG Telecom-owned Vodafone already did the same in January.

Devices that depend on the 3G network will no longer be supported, meaning they will be unable to make calls on any Australian network, including to 000.
