Fines up, new rules for for e-scooters

E-SCOOTER riders and their unlawful passengers face increased and new penalties for a range of offences under State Government changes to the rules covering the devices.

Announced late on Friday and in force from the same day, the increased fines include $395 for riding without a helmet, $296 for riding on a footpath and $247 for carrying a passenger.
