VICTORIA Police are ramping up efforts to keep motorcyclists safe on the state's roads with rider deaths in regional areas more than doubling in 2024 compared to the same time last year.

As a result October have been declared Motorcycle Awareness Month and police are prioritising rider safety following the concerning rise fatalities.
