Fisheries officers’ safety fears

NEW South Wales Fisheries officers are demanding to be issued with protective equipment including stab-proof vests and capsicum spray, as fears for their on-the-job safety grow.

It comes in the wake of a number of violent incidents where they were shot at, threatened with knives and baseball bats and had cars driven at them.
