VICTORIA Police are giving a round of applause to the estimated 8000 sports enthusiasts who migrated to Mildura Sporting Precinct on Saturday, with Superintendent John O'Connor crediting the crowd for their excellent behaviour.

"We'd really like to applaud the people who came out to watch some great games of netball and football, the crowd behaviour was really good," Mr O'Connor said.
