Historic boat makes a splash

ONE of five 1957 Halvorsen 47ft cruiser boats once shipped out to the USA was craned into the Murray River near Wentworth on Friday.

The company, named after Norwegian boat maker Lars Halvorsen who started the business when he moved to Sydney in 1925, is renowned among wooden watercraft circles.
