A PROFESSIONAL firefighter has said Mildura was exposed to "quite a massive risk" last weekend when two fire trucks malfunctioned in quick succession.

Two of Fire Rescue Victoria's three trucks at Fire Station 72 were out of commission within a 12-hour period.

The station's primary vehicle, an aerial pumper, had a significant coolant leak on Friday night that rendered it unroadworthy.
