CAPACITY for volunteer firefighters in Sunraysia has expanded following the delivery of new heavy tankers to Mildura and Merbein fire brigades.

The tankers, valued at $460,000 each, are part of the rollout of 48 new heavy, and two ultra light, tankers, in an effort to ensure volunteer firefighters have access to modern equipment.
