FOR most people, the sight of cloudy brown water forcing its way down a river channel might be alarming, but for the people of Pomona, it's a welcome relief.

"It's good to see, it's iced coffee," said Pomona Irrigation Trust chair Mark King, who looked at ease staring at the flowing river after a testing six-month period faced with green, slimy water.
