A RETIRED engineer has voiced concern over one of Australia's largest proposed mineral sand projects in south-west NSW.

Ian Magee, now a spokesman for the Alliance for Responsible Mining Regulation, said the approval of the Copi Mineral Sands Project "would pose a serious risk to the Murray's water quality".
