MILDURA Council is aiming to triple the tree-canopy cover in town centres over the next 15 years, as a new report shows the region is more of a concrete jungle than a green oasis.

The council already has programs under way to plant more trees in the municipality as it plays catch-up, as planet warms to unprecedented levels.
