A MILDURA man who tried to deposit cash into his son's account at a Commonwealth Bank branch says they refused to accept it because of a new anti-money laundering policy.

Ron Thompson said the bank teller told him he couldn't deposit cash unless he was a customer of the bank, despite having made similar deposits for years.
