A RISING Mildura artist has taken out the Creative Victoria Award for Excellence in any Media at the 11th Koorie Art Show.

Yorta Yorta man Daniel Hills created Bungarra, a 170cm long and 50cm high sand goanna, by weaving rattan cane, natural flax leaf and jute string.
