YOUNG Rwandan refugee Jackson Mugenzi has been named Mildura’s Young Citizen of the Year.

Overcoming the past trauma of war, famine, and separations from his family during tribal wars in his home country at the age of 14, Mr Mugenzi has thrived since moving to Mildura five years ago.
