CHARTERED accountant and business consultant Rob Verstappen has been named Wentworth Shire Council's Citizen of the Year.

Originally from Masterton, New Zealand, Mr Verstappen became an Australian citizen in 1988, and moved with wife Kirsten and his young family to Wentworth in 2003.
