A BONUS parkrun event will be held in Mildura on New Year's Day, providing an opportunity to start the year off on the right foot.

The special Monday event is an additional opportunity to walk, jog or run a 5km course alongside more than 100 people.

Event director Shaun Higgs said scheduled Saturday parkruns on December 30 and January 6 will also go ahead.
