DOZENS of police gathered along Deakin Avenue on Monday for a guard of honour, bidding farewell to Mildura's longest-serving officer, Gary Pearse.

Leading Sen-Const. Pearse, who passed away last weekend aged 70, was still a serving member of Victoria Police.
