MILDURA'S population is expected to grow at about a third of the pace of the rest of Victoria over the coming years, according to State Government estimates.

Population projections recently published by the Planning Department forecast the Mildura municipality to grow 10.6 per cent between 2021 and 2036, to 62,990 people.

This was far below the predicted state-wide growth rate of 28.7 per cent.
