THE distinct sound of bagpipes and drums echoed through the Chaffey Aged Care dining hall on Thursday morning, as residents celebrated St Andrew's Day.

Three members of the Mildura Pipe Band played familiar Scottish melodies to a crowd of more than 40, to mark the national day of Scotland.
