WHEN exchange students Nadja Arendt and Antonia Pavin Dal'Lin touched down in Mildura, they couldn't quite believe how isolated the town was from the country's major cities and attractions.

But the pair say they have enjoyed experiencing rural life and what living in the Mallee is really like.
