SUNRAYSIA Community Health Services says Mildura needs its own medically supervised injecting facility because it can't accommodate the region's "heartbreaking" demand for drug help.

Dual diagnosis nurse Kylie Cawley said a site similar to the controversial facility opened by the Andrews government in the Melbourne suburb of Richmond would be welcome here.
