MORE than 280 classic cars will descend on Mildura this weekend for the annual three-day Goanna Run.

The event, first held in 1978 with just 40 cars, will attract owners and vehicles from the 1920s to the late 1960s for a series of runs and show and shines.

Desert City Rodders Mildura committee member Jefferey Lowes said the club had an action-packed schedule.
