Referendum voting locations for Sunraysia

VOTING locations for the upcoming voice to parliament referendum have been announced by the Australian Electoral Commission.

There will be two early voting centres in the Sunraysia District, both in the Mildura area.

Early votes can be cast at either the Mildura Senior Citizens Club at 129 Tenth Street, Mildura or at the old Beds R Us building at 30-32 Deakin Avenue, Mildura.

For people electing to vote on October 14, the day of the referendum, locations mirror those provided at the last Federal election in 2022.

On the NSW side of the border, people can vote at either the Midway Community Centre in Buronga, Dareton Public School, Wentworth Public School or Euston Public School.

There will be 19 polling places on the Victorian side in the general area.

The AEC will also be providing a remote voting service at the Pooncarie Public Hall on October 3 between 9.30am and 3.30pm and at the Menindee RMT Civic Hall on October 4 between 10.30am and 1.30pm.

Postal voting is available for anyone not able to make it to vote in-person, either on voting day or during the early voting period.

Postal vote applications can be made on the AEC website, and need to be made before 6pm on Wednesday, October 11.
