THE Mildura skate park has reopened after contractors completed the removal of two vandalised peppercorn trees.

Council said removal of trees was always a last resort, but that  after a thorough examination of the trees by both council arborists and a consulting arborist, it was agreed that there was no option but to remove them due to the structural damage and potential risk.
