THE Mildura State Emergency Service unit has been gifted a brand new rigid boat, after a review of the capability of its existing fleet.

The Stabicraft 1550 replaces a Jabiru boat the unit had used for 21 years.

Valued at $66,000, the 4.6-metre boat has a 75-horsepower engine and can carry up to five people.
