JAMIE Fox spends much of his time at the Dareton men's shed making one-off musical instruments and his new favourite is an electric ukulele designed in honour of the nation's war veterans.

"I was inspired by old instruments that used to get made from cigar boxes," Mr Fox explained as he regarded his latest work, crafted from an Anzac biscuit tin.
