THE Murray River weir pool at Euston will be temporarily lowered to allow for repairs.

The Murray–Darling Basin Authority and WaterNSW will begin lowering the pool on May 29.

Executive director of river management Andrew Reynolds said the river level would be lowered by one metre over three weeks, which would enable crews to fix a damaged pipe used to measure pressure against the weir.
