AN intriguing portrait of a small town's past is continuing to grow at the Ouyen District History and Genealogy Centre.

"WALPEUP ... the way it was" features pictures and accounts of the town's settlement and pioneer housing through to more recent times.

Curator Merle Pole said the collection is so large, there's not nearly enough room to display everything.
