A FIRE that destroyed an Ouyen house this month is under investigation.

The town's CFA brigade was called to a house fire in the early hours of May 6.

Ouyen CFA captain Paddy Nihill said there was little that firefighters could do to save the weatherboard home and that the fire was “well established” by the time fire crews arrived just after midnight.
