AUSTRALIAN musician Broderick Smith has died less than two weeks after his last Mildura performance.

A statement added to the performer's website on Sunday said the 75-year-old had died peacefully at home.

Smith was best known for his work as the front man of Australian band The Dingoes, but was involved in writing over 200 songs, acted in several TV series and was a member of two further bands.
