MILDURA and Dareton police have been working together against a rise in vehicle thefts and burglaries and have warned that criminals looking to hop between states to avoid conviction will be caught.

Authorities said they had responded to seven car thefts in the last week with crooks stealing vehicles from one state and driving them to another.
